Ministries
Fine Arts
Encompassing music, dance, and drama, this department is an integral part of almost everything we do at TOP. Lead by Bishop Oliver's son, Hayden Oliver, highly trained in the arts himself, this department is not only highly functional, it is dominated by the pursuit of excellence.
Youth
“AGENTS” stands for Army of God Equipping New Teens with Salvation, and our goal is to help each student develop a genuine relationship with God. As TOP AGENTS, we support one another through relationship with love and prayer. We don't judge anyone for their past because we put our focus on your future.
Porters & Greeters
The primary function of the Porter/Greeter Team is to provide quality service and a comfortable atmosphere to those attending services at Tabernacle of Praise. We are careful to follow Nehemiah 4:6 and Psalm 84:10.
Kidz on TOP
KIDZ ON TOP combines action-packed activities with Bible-based teaching for boys and girls, age 1st through 6th grade. Our kids enjoy an atmosphere that incorporates relationship building, lesson-oriented games, team competition, interesting puppet characters, fun-filled songs, and awesome worship times.
TOP Tots
Our ministry’s vision is to encourage and strengthen spiritual values, and to stimulate intellectual, emotional, and social growth in children 9 months through Kindergarten age. We intend to accomplish this through teaching Biblical lessons while using arts, music, discovery, drama, and crafts to capture the true knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Bereavement
The sole purpose of the bereavement ministry at Tabernacle of Praise is to mentally, physically and spiritually minister to families and/or individuals in the face of terminal illness and death. Acknowledging God as the ultimate Comforter, Bereavement Ministry Volunteers function in a spirit of excellence during parishioners' most trying times.
Hospital Ministry
The Hospital ministry serves the members of Tabernacle of Praise and their immediate family members who are admitted to area hospitals. Our objective is to bring encouragement as we follow the scripture found in James 5:14, “Is anyone among you sick? Then call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
Prison Ministry
The Prison Ministry at Tabernacle of Praise is committed to taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are imprisoned. When we visit the incarcerated, we provide a message of hope, peace, joy and restoration in GOD.
Those with a heart for grace, mercy and hope to the imprisoned are encouraged to follow the scripture found in Matthew 25:36 where it states, “I was in prison and you came unto me.”
Girlfriends & God
"Girlfriends & God" empowers and endows our women with necessary skills to balance every area of their total person: Spirit, Mind and Body. The goal is to develop Godly character, encourage sound thinking, and create healthy bodies. Our vision is to build a strong spiritual foundation in the Word.
Covenant of Brotherhood
The Covenant of Brotherhood is the men’s ministry at TOP. It encourages the development of Godly relationships between men.
Evangelism
The evangelism ministry at Tabernacle of Praise desires that everyone has an opportunity to know about Jesus Christ. To accomplish that desire, the evangelism team serves the community. The ministry includes door-to-door evangelism and face-to-face advertising for TOP events. It also includes outreaches to the local women’s shelter and the Salvation Army.
Prayer
Prayer is a strong foundational principle at TOP. We believe John 16:13 which says, "When the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all Truth." As a result of our belief, it is through prayer that the spirit of truth guides us. With that guidance, we offer people encouragement and support during difficult times.
Media
TOP Media includes all things regarding technology during services. Volunteers include graphic artists, lighting designers, audio engineers, video editors and camera operators. If you’re interested in this ministry, training in lighting and camera operation is available.
The Source
At The Source bookstore, we assist parishioners as they become rooted, grounded, and established in the Word of God. To do so, we provide them with tools to give God's Word first place in their lives according to Colossians 1:23 and Psalm 112. We believe we are called to equip an army of mature believers, to bring them from "milk to meat" of the Word, and from religion to reality using sermons, music, books and other resources.
