The primary function of the Porter/Greeter Team is to provide quality service and a comfortable atmosphere to those attending services at Tabernacle of Praise.  Careful to follow Nehemiah 4:6 and Psalm 84:10, we are dedicated to the regular cleansing of our minds, bodies, and spirits to sanctify ourselves to the service of ushering parishioners and visitors into an atmosphere conducive to learning how to have a personal encounter with God.

If you would like to become a Porter/Greeter, you will be asked to arrive 45 minutes prior to the beginning of service to assist in preparing the sanctuary.  Your duties will be to greet parishioners, seat parishioners, assist in re-stocking Porter/Greeter stations before each service (i.e., envelopes, visitor cards, etc.), make sure areas are neat and clean, straighten chairs, assist in distribution of tithe envelopes/visitor cards during offering calls as needed, be knowledgeable regarding classroom locations, water fountains, restrooms, etc., assist during altar calls as needed, and offer other assistance as needed.
